SOMNATH: Union travel and leisure minister Jagmohan on Fri said tourism would be created in a way so that India’s wealthy cultural “patriotism” could be elevated.

“The Centre also offers massive plans to develop a number of other “sub-hubs” of tourism within Gujarat like Dholavira, Lothal ruins, Dwarka and Bhalka Teerth, ” he said.
Talking about Somnath and his vision to convert it into a pulsating hub for tourists, Jagmohan said apart from sound and light show, the beach plus nearby areas would also be developed.
Speaking on Ayodhya, this individual said no tourism advancement was being done near the disputed site, but a seven-km walk along the Saryu river was being planned along with a sound and light show near the Ram memory ki Pedhi for which money is sanctioned.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Narendra Modi lamented that “talking about culture is being considered the sin by people”, plus called for cultural introspection.
“Earlier, tradition was destroyed by swords, today it is done simply by pen, ” he said, apparently hitting out from media.
